About Joanna

As a former family law litigant and Senior Paralegal at Family Law Revolution, Joanna Martinez has passion for helping her clients navigate the sometimes emotionally draining components of divorce, paternity and domestic violence issues. Having litigated a divorce of a long-term marriage, with minor children, she is uniquely qualified to approach her role with empathy and the ability to put herself “in her client’s shoes”.

Ms. Martinez has served as a paralegal in only one area of law – family law. It is her passion to help clients through arguably the most difficult time their family might face that drives her to work closely with litigants. She drafts declarations which embody her client’s perspective alongside the attorney who ensures that it provides sound language relevant to applicable law. Ms. Martinez seeks to take on each battle as her own to ensure that each client is provided with the best possible outcome given their unique circumstances.

With several years of experience serving as a bookkeeper for many professional services firms, her knowledge of financial reports and strong analytical skills help assist our attorneys with matters of valuation and preparation of accurate financial disclosures.

Having worked in special education, her knowledge of the IEP process, 504 plans and other components of education for minor children provides litigants with a unique opportunity to explain how they envision custody and visitation for their children, with consideration to any certain special needs.

When she is not working closely with her clients and Attorney John, she can be found playing pickleball, searching social media for new recipes or sharing photos of her beautiful grandchildren.
